| FACULTY:
Teachers are the major assets of any institution. The institution
has appointed highly qualified and dedicated faculties of
outstanding merit, excellent teaching skills as well as abilities. A
balanced mix of academicians, researchers and professionals from
different pharmaceutical and general sectors contributes to the
institute's academic excellence. They are encouraged to update their
knowledge and skills by allowing them to pursue refresher courses,
research work and higher studies. Part time and visiting faculties
are invited to contribute enrich the core courses and electives
offered to the students.
LABORATORY:
The institution has ten numbers of sophisticated and modern
laboratories, well equipped with gas, water and electricity. The
interior design has been focused with modern architecture and
fitting like acid resistant ceramic floor tiles on the working
table. Central gas connections with anti-inflammable equipments with
branded chemicals to ensure high quality results are the attractions
in the laboratory.
The Computer Lab. Is fully air-condition with internet facility.
LIBRARY:
A book worm's paradise, the GCP Library offers students an excellent
selection of books and magazine on Pharmaceutical and other
subjects. It comprises of international and national journals. The
reference section has a rich collection of latest reference books
and other publications. A collection of CDs, Cassettes, manuals,
slides and soft wares are also available for the students and
teachers . To provide current information he library has a
collection of annual report, project reports, and dissertation of
students. For advanced communications and research it provides
internet facility to each faculty and student through DELNET.
Construction of one fully air-conditioned Central Library cum
auditorium is under process.
CLASS ROOM:
The institution has four well furnished and spacious classrooms of
different sitting capacity with large blackboard. To enhance the
presentation of lectures, seminars and other academic activities the
institution has a good audio-visual setup with slide projectors and
LCD.
PLACEMENT CELL:
PLACEMENT DURING
2007-08
The training and placement cell of GCP gives prime importance
on training and placement. The placement cell has been activated
under the constant supervision of Placement and Development Officer.
The placement cell has successfully organized placement of students
through campus interview, contacts and negotiations in different
pharmaceutical industries namely Ranbaxy, Dr. Reddy's, Medley, Cipla,
Biochem, Aristo, Torrent, Wockhards etc.
Apart from this the Diploma students have the basic opportunities
through self-employment scheme.
TRANSPORT:
The institution provides its own transport facility.
Three Buses run regularly to serve the students. The Buses start
their running regularly except holidays from Sambalpur City to the
institution and vice versa.
HOSTEL:
The College comprises two well furnished Boys' Hostel and one Girls'
Hostel within the City. As students are joining from the different
parts of India, the institution maintains an interstate cordial
relationship among the inmates under constant supervision and strict
principles. The hostel mess is managed by a student representative
committee.
CANTEEN:
The institution has a canteen within the college premises to
cater the basic needs of the staffs and students of the
college. Good hygienic Meals and Tiffin are provided with
concessional rate.
RECREATION:
The students at their leisure get the opportunities to explore
their hidden talents in the field of game and sports. The
institution has one central garden with varieties of flower and lawn
grass. The college is having a medicinal garden with varieties of
medicinal plants to carry out a deep study of crude and herbal
drugs.
LOCATION:
The College is spread over an area of five acres of land carrying a
docile and pollution free atmosphere encircled with greenish
landscape below the footstep of the longest "HIRAKUD DAM" and
situated at Jamadarpali 6 kms. away from the hurdles of the
township. The college campus named as " GAYATRI VIHAR" exhibits a
sound academic atmosphere and place for students.
The
College has geared itself to negotiate the challenges and
competition in a world of changing scenario. Needless to say the
College has produced 1000 technically trained personal in the field
of Pharmaceutical Science. They are all absorbed in Central Govt./State
Govt./Public Sector/Pvt. undertakings etc. Most of the students are
opting self employment like running with Medical Shop. The College
has produced highest result in
Orissa since last
five years. It is indeed a credit to the professional skills of the
faculty and overall advisory role of the management. It would be
improper if we fail to extend our inner gratitudes to some of the PCI
members as well as AICTE executives without the advice & constant
supervision the College could not have been flourished.
